About She Matters
She Matters is an impact driven organisation supporting women in all their diversity, with a strong focus on refugee women rebuilding their lives through access to skills, work, and opportunity.

Alongside our programmes, we run funding initiatives that help sustain our work. One of these is the She Matters Impact Shop, a live ecommerce project that resells donated beauty products. Communication and storytelling play a key role in connecting our work, our shop, and our community.

About the role
As Social Media & Community Intern, you support She Matters’ social media presence and community engagement.

You’ll help translate our mission, programmes, and initiatives, including the Impact Shop, into clear and thoughtful social content. You’ll learn how storytelling, community feedback, and basic performance insights shape content decisions across an impact driven organisation. You’ll work closely with the Founder & CEO and the intern team.

What you’ll work on

• Creating and scheduling website and social media content

• Supporting storytelling around programmes, campaigns, and initiatives

• Contributing to content related to the Impact Shop

• Engaging with the community in a values aligned way

• Sharing basic insights on content performance

What you bring

• Must be enrolled in a university or applied sciences programme and eligible for internship credit

• You have a strong interest in social media, storytelling and social impact

• You can write concise, engaging short form content

• You have a good sense of tone, values, and responsible communication
