Delivery Chapter Lead
Lead the people side of IT delivery at a major Dutch telco. Coach delivery leads, build trust and growth, and create the conditions for calm, sustainable performance.
Our client is a Dutch telecom provider working to build a more human, optimistic, and inclusive digital experience. They’re hiring a Delivery Chapter Lead to strengthen the people foundation behind IT delivery.
This role is first and foremost about people leadership. You won’t run programs or manage delivery yourself. Instead, you’ll enable delivery leads to do their best work by taking full ownership of line management, development, engagement, and culture across IT delivery.
You’ll play a key role in helping teams stay healthy, effective, and resilient in complex, high pressure environments.
Your Day to Day: People Leadership, Coaching, and Culture
Take full responsibility for line management of all delivery professionals across IT delivery.
Enable delivery leads to focus on delivery by owning performance management, development plans, and feedback cycles.
Build and maintain a culture of trust, growth, and continuous improvement.
Support delivery professionals in how they collaborate, communicate, and show up under pressure.
Create clear role expectations, behavioral standards, and development paths for delivery leads.
Hold honest, respectful conversations, including when feedback is difficult or uncomfortable.
Work closely with stakeholders across IT, Product, Platforms, and Business to gather feedback on how delivery happens, not just what is delivered.
Support engagement, belonging, wellbeing, and long term retention across a distributed and multicultural chapter.
Continuously improve how people leadership and delivery professionalism are practiced across the organisation.
What You Bring (and What You’ll Grow Into)
Proven experience as a line manager, with responsibility for performance, development, and engagement of professionals.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills, including the ability to handle difficult conversations with care and clarity.
Experience working across internal and external teams, including nearshore and offshore setups.
The ability to create learning and development structures in complex or evolving environments.
Comfort working with multiple stakeholders across IT and business domains and acting on feedback.
A people first leadership style that stays calm under pressure and focuses on behavior, growth, and sustainable performance.
Experience in IT delivery, program, or transformation environments is helpful but not required. If your strength lies primarily in people leadership within complex IT settings, we’d still love to hear from you.

Please note: This role is open to candidates who are currently living in the Netherlands with a valid work permit. You’ll work in a hybrid setup, with at least three days per week based at the Den Haag office.
