Our client is a Dutch telecom provider on a mission to build a more human, optimistic, and inclusive digital world. They’re hiring a Head of IT Delivery to lead large scale technology delivery and transformation across the organisation.
This role sits at the heart of how strategy becomes reality. You’ll shape how teams deliver, collaborate, and grow, ensuring technology enables people rather than getting in their way. While customers may never meet you, they’ll feel the impact of your leadership every day.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders across IT, Network, Mass Market, Enterprise, and Customer Operations, helping align priorities and guide complex change in a sustainable, people centered way.
Your Day to Day: Strategic Delivery, Leadership, and Alignment
Own the end to end IT delivery and transformation agenda across multiple domains.
Translate business strategy into clear, realistic delivery roadmaps that teams can execute.
Lead large, complex transformation programs with strong governance, transparency, and shared ownership.
Align business and technology stakeholders across priorities, dependencies, and organisational readiness.
Anticipate delivery risks early and address them calmly and thoughtfully.
Balance delivery excellence with long term adoption, team health, and sustainable outcomes.
Coach and support senior managers and program leaders, helping them grow as leaders.
Create an environment where accountability and psychological safety go hand in hand.
What You Bring (and What You’ll Grow Into)
Significant experience in IT delivery, transformation, or program leadership within complex organisations.
A background in IT, business, technology, or equivalent experience gained through senior leadership roles.
Experience leading senior professionals and multidisciplinary teams in matrix environments.
Confidence owning budgets, delivery commitments, and business cases.
A strong understanding of how IT delivery supports business strategy and customer outcomes.
Comfort working with executive stakeholders and guiding decision making at senior level.
A people centered leadership style that stays grounded under pressure.
Experience in telecom or other high availability, customer critical environments is a plus, but not a requirement. If your experience comes from a different sector and feels transferable, we’d still love to hear from you.

Please note: This role is open to candidates who are currently living in the Netherlands with a valid work permit. You’ll work in a hybrid setup, with at least three days per week based at the Den Haag office.
