How You’ll Lead and Innovate

• Build Resilient Systems: Design, develop, and implement software solutions to improve the stability and scalability of critical products and services, ensuring readiness for the future.
• Automate for Efficiency: Create reusable automation patterns and instrumentation across products, eliminating the need for manual troubleshooting.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: Take charge of proactive monitoring and observability strategies, lead outage responses, and continually refine incident-response processes to minimise downtime.
• Lead by Example: Be an escalation contact during on-call rotations, participate in troubleshooting complex distributed systems, and mentor junior engineers in operational best practices.
• Champion Best Practices: Advocate for engineering excellence across teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Unique Strengths

• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient in public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CloudFormation.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of storage, databases, caching, networking, and distributed systems; able to debug, optimize, and automate operational tasks.
• Systems Administration: Strong foundation in Linux or Windows, with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Observability Tools: Familiar with monitoring technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
• Programming Knowledge: Proficient in programming principles, with command of at least one language.
• Leadership in Technical Recovery: Skilled in leading technical recoveries and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Communication: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
